Word for the Day

Will we let them sit at ease in Zion while certain judgment is visible from the watchtower? Should we not cry out to them: Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light. (Eph. 5:14) Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. (2 Cor. 13:5) Make your call and election sure. (2 Peter 1:10) Understand that this is not a call for ministers or laypeople to become the judges of others, but to put away the belief in and proclamation of a superficial and powerless gospel that is granting assurance to millions, making them resistant against a biblical gospel and sealing their eternal condemnation. We must learn to console and assure the weakest saint who is broken over his many sins, but we must also learn to warn the false convert whose life is a barren and fruitless tree and whose settled manner of living is a contradiction to the gospel.

Sunday morning is the greatest hour of idolatry in the entire week of America, because the great mass at least of people are not worshipping the one true God. They instead are worshipping a god formed out of their own hearts by their own flesh, satanic devices, and worldly intelligence. They have made a god just like themselves—and he looks more like Santa Claus than he does Jehovah. There can be no fear of the Lord among us, because there is no knowledge of the Lord among us!

Word for the Day

When there is in any a love of earthly things that is predominant, whence a person may be rightly denominated to be earthly minded, he is not, nor can be, spiritually minded at all; he hath no interest in the frame of heart and spirit intended thereby. And thus it is evidently with the greatest part of them who are called Christians in the world, let them pretend what they will to the contrary.
